For those wanting to have a little fun in between your casino runs, keno can be a good filler. Keno is both a simple and fun game that anyone can easily pick up during lulls. The game also pays back rather handsomely and can be a good addition to your purse.
While keno is quite a popular game to modern day casino goers, it is actually quite old. The origins of keno is rather ancient as an early version of the game was played in China more that two thousand years ago. The game was played and developed well into the modern age where it was then introduced by Chinese immigrants into the West during the early twentieth century. The name “keno”, however is of French origin as the game was further refined into its modern form when it was introduced in that country.
The game is very easy to learn and play and shares similar mechanics to the more popular bingo games, making it easier to understand. Players use cards that are quite similar to bingo cards in layout. In the case of the keno card, the numbers are arranged in eight row of ten each, for a total of 80 numbers. The player then chooses up to twenty numbers and marks them on the card to get their tickets from the booth. For those that are very busy (or very lazy) to get tickets from the booths, there are runners roaming around the casino whom you could give your numbers and have them fill out the cards for you.
After all the tickets have been bet in, twenty numbers are then drawn. Winners can then claim their prizes afterward. Payouts vary widely between casinos, so better read the tables first before making your purchase.
Aside from the jackpot combination, there are several plays that the keno player can take up. The player can mark up additional combination on the card. Each combination also has its own payout independent to that of the jackpot, which make them very good to take a shot at.
One good combination that you can play is the “2/3 1/6”. in this combination, you mark an initial size numbers on the board. He then encircles two groups of tree numbers each as additional combination. A three dollar bet is placed on the card, divided to the three number groups, a dollar each of them. This play can increase your chances at the payouts.
Another useful betting option that you can use in keno to increase your chances is the king number. The king, as it is simply called, is a single encircled number that can be used on all the combination of numbers played on the ticket. This greatly adds to your chances of hitting multiple combination, and winning multiple prizes, as long as the umber is there.
Casinos also offer a hefty progressive jackpot prize to keno games. These progressive games can prove to be the money maker as these can get very high, there are even some instances that the casino gives out more than a hundred percent in returns. This will definitely make keno a really engaging game to play.

Keno is one of my favorite games too. I prefer the keno offered at Playtech casinos. A listing of Playtech casinos with awesome keno can be found at http://www.ranked-online-casinos.com/keno-online-casinos.html
I play keno any time I get the chance. In fact, I hit 8 out of 10 numbers while eating in the cafe at The Bellagio once.

Obviously, like everyone has said, 21 to gamble in Vegas… But, when you turn 21, don't play Keno.. you have the worst odds and payouts in that game, the house can have over 25% edge…

I was just surfing around the net earlier today and I found a good keno site that I bookmarked. I'll share it with you now since it looks like you are hoping to find the same thing I was looking for earlier. http://www.keno-rules-tips-strategy.com is the site. They have some neat pay table info for keno and there are several online casinos on the site with good keno pay tables as well. Good luck if you go play some keno tonight! I'll be pulling for you.

A.Select six numbers between one and eighty and place them in the selections boxes at the top of the chart. As an example we'll say that you've chosen numbers: 13, 27, 28, 33, 41 and 79.
B. Copy your six selections vertically down the chart into the light colored boxes. You are only permitted to place your numbers in the light colored boxes in each plan.
C. Transfer the four numbers on each ticket line to a standard keno entry form. You'll end up with three tickets of four numbers each.

I play Caveman Keno it pays pretty well. I have played all different versions of keno. Including 20 card keno which you play 4 coins per hand max pennies to nickels. I usually do well with a box patern on that. I have one hand that I play on 1 card keno I seem to do well with on a ten number hand. I play a checkerboard style which i won $1,000 the playing 4 quarters on the first 20 dollars. Its all experimental and luck from inside you. You just have to find some numbers that work for you and once you win with them stick with them. Although I have hit 850 dollars one time radomly picking rows of numbers with in the first two plays that I picked it. But Thats about it. I personally think that playing 4-4,5-5,6-6 numbers are a waste of time. You have a better chance at a 7 of 10 or 8 of 10 or even 6-10 to keep you playing. Thats my advice.

I won $10, but my buddy…he made $500, I think he paid $1 for his keno card at Excalibur. It was one of those pick 20, and of his 20 picks…none of his picks actually showed up..so he actually made $500 that way. It was on the last 10 minutes of our trip (lucky bastard). Anyway the odds of winning Keno are pretty bad, just like every other game. But the cool thing about Keno is there is no real strategy, and it's a game where you can just sit, bet small amounts at a time, and keep getting free drinks.
You'll lose more faster on slots and especially at tables, but again slot machines and tables tend to be more exciting to play and make money faster (if you're lucky). it's kind of up to you, and what you're willing to gamble.
