Two of the games that you will find at some online casinos are backgammon and baccarat. Both of these games are very popular and date back many years. However, not all online casinos offer the games of baccarat and backgammon. In order to find casinos that will have these games, you need to read reviews of the casinos in an online casino guide.

It is a good idea, when you are looking to play a certain game, such as baccarat or backgammon, to make sure that the online casino offers these games. Nothing can be more frustrating than downloading the software to your computer only to find that the casino does not offer baccarat or backgammon or another game that you want to play. This is why it is important that you do your homework and read reviews of online site that offer these games, or any other games that you want to play that the sites may not offer.

Not all online casinos are created equal. Some of them offer only slot machines and video poker, while others offer some table games. While most online casinos offer slots, blackjack, craps and roulette, not all offer backgammon and baccarat. These two games, although popular with some, can be too complicated for many people to learn. Baccarat is a card game that is traditionally popular with high rollers. It is not easy to learn to play baccarat and for this reason, many sites do not offer this older casino game.

Backgammon is a game that is enjoyed as a board game the world over, but is another older fashioned game that not many people today understand.  With the advent of newer casino games, games like backgammon have been put on the back burner, so to speak. So you are not sure if the game will make an appearance at every casino.

Using a casino guide, you can generally get an idea of the online casinos that are available as well as what games they offer to players. If you enjoy a certain game that the casino may not have available, such as baccarat or backgammon, then you should take a look at a review before committing to the site.

Casino guides are an excellent reference to your online casino gambling experience. When you use these guides, you not only find out which games are available on the different casino sites, but you can read reviews that were written by those who have played at the site and can give you the pros and cons of such online casinos. Many online casinos have strength when it comes to certain table games and others offer many varieties of slots. But if you are looking for games that may be a bit more difficult to learn, such as baccarat and backgammon, you may not find them in every online casino.  Reading as much as you can about the online casino as well as the games that are offered is the best way to understand which online casino will most suit you when gambling online.

In Baccarat the only decision you make is on Player, Banker, or Tie. Due to the drawing rules, Banker is the slightly better bet, but the House takes 5% on all Banker wins.

I don't think that there are any ways to increase your chances of winning like in Blackjack.

There is one system in baccarat that is 100% guaranteed to win. Unfortunately you will probably have to stand in the casino for 5-6 years before you get the right conditions and then you have to feel confident that you did not screw up while watching the table. The payout is high since tie pays 8 to 1 so if you pick a table with a high limit the payout can be $300-400k. The problem is that is less than you'd have made if you just got a job rather then babysitting a table 16 hours a day for 5 years. Not to mention if you screw up and make a mistake there goes your large wager.

Card counting for baccarat is a waste of time. While baccarat does share the same characteristics as blackjack the effect of is so small that it is not statistically significant.

As such the game is reduced to just guessing. There is no system to predict the outcome of the next hand based on previous hands or patterns.

I rarely play house games but if there is no poker going I might sit down at a baccarat table just to kill time. In those situations I play follow the leader. I simply bet what the previous outcome was. No reason other than the alternative is to try to guess which will just be annoying and frustrating. This way at least it is out of my hands.

If you are intent on playing baccarat I suggest playing a variant called Chemin de Fer. It is next to impossible to find in North America (I've only seen it at private games in Vegas and Detroit but never at a casino) but you can find it in Europe esp in Monte Carlo. This version of baccarat can be beat and is actually quite profitable. I wish we had it in NA as I rarely get to play.

In the long run no one wins at baccarat. The reason it seems everyone has a lot of money is because the game (especially full baccarat not so much mini-baccarat) is played by people who have money and egos. They have a lot of chips because they brought a lot of chips. What you'll often miss is that as they lose chips they replenish them with markers. The house edge is small and people do wager large amounts so when they win it looks like a lot of money but over the long run anyone who has played baccarat seriously has been an overall loser.

The bank hand is favored in Baccarat. The advantage is diminished by the 5% vig you pay on a winning bet.
